In honor of National Activity Professionals week, ICCDP, NCCDP, NAAP National Association Activity Professionals and CARD Center for Applied Research in Dementia were proud sponsors of this year’s contest event. The purpose of the contest was to capture all that the profession and the professional provides. The sponsors wished to recognize the important contributions that Activity Professionals and Recreation Therapists make in the lives of those they serve.

This year, the sponsors selected the entry from Ventura County Adult Day Health Care Center whose activity staff submitted a wonderful depiction of the many facets of the Activity Department. Not only did they submit a beautiful quilt made by their residents but also a poem and a song about the profession. All of which captured the spirit and depth of this important profession.

Congratulations to the activity professionals and residents at VCADH.
